Once upon a time, velvet was a fabric for sultry hangouts that held the promise of something slightly exotic. It still is! But it's also a beautiful, warm material that makes the most beautiful lampshades. This one is enduringly soft and smooth and, well, velvety! Like a kitten's ears. In general, velvet doesn't transmit much light so you get pools of light spilling underneath. This lighter pink colour does exude a gentle glow though.
